Spanish way of life

The aim of the scholarship I was awarding with, was the improvement of my english. I don't want to hide that the reason for writing in english this post is to train my language skills and to make able to international people to read my thoughts and reflections.

I would like to talk about the political and economic situation of my country. And, perhaps, the most important issue is the current problem with the Global Crisis, that affects to Spain in two ways. On one hand we have the problem with the production system, based few time ago on the construction and the indirect employment that entails this sector, and on the other hand we have the global financial problem. The main aim of this article is to demonstrate that this two problems are part of a bigger and deeper problem linked to the spanish culture and his different dimensions. According to Tomlinson, in his book, communication and culture, nowadays we cannot talk about culture as something apart of the rest of dimensions that form this phenomenon we call "globalization". Spanish Catholic culture fosters the capitalist speculation instead of the protestant capitalist culture improvement and flow of economy (Weber). Regarding to the socioeconomic theme, Spain practically never had the optimal climax for an Industrial Revolution or Worker Class Revolution as Marx predicted in the 19th century. The most similar to a revolution was the civil war in 1936 when the conservatives and rich class defeated a left-democratic coalition of legal parties. After that 40 years of shadows and pseudo-feudalism with Franco dictatorship...

Work culture is not, therefore, installed, in general, in spanish life, where in the 16th century a worker was viewed like a pariah or a loser. The best example can be read in one of the most famous books of this time: "El lazarillo de tormes" an anonymous book whose protagonist is a servant of different people and one of them is a noble men that is always starving and every day buy a piece of bread for sprinkling grumps over his chest to look rich and sated.

But, as Weber said, this kind of culture is conducive to heros... always there is some people that make move forward the car. And that is because my country goes on. Because of this kind of persons that believe in something superior.
